I've read a couple tutorials and I realize you have to ground the xbox 360 before connecting it to the PC. How do you actually do this?

i see this warning in many tutorials "If you are going to connect your 360 and PC together in *any* way, as I have done several times in the experients below, then you *must* provide the 360 with a path to true earth ground. This is because the 360 has a floating ground and horrible things happen if all connected systems do not agree on the reference voltage. I used a couple of croc clips from the chassis of the 360 to the chassis of my PC to achieve this"

Yeah thats the only thing stopping me from moddin my 360 right now, im trying to figure out how necessary grounding is, and the best method.

Just connect any wire from the metal case of ur 360 to the metal case of the pc. ANY WIRE. Some speaker wire will work.

yeap, just make sure you do that. any wire any place on metal cages.
