ok, my ps2 doesnt seem to play dvds, ps1 games, heck even the swap discs dont work...whats wrong with my ps2?any idea how to fix it?

Laser issue most likely. Try cleaning it 1st, and if that doesn't work, then you'll have to try adjusting either the tray level adjust cog (large white cog at rear of laser bay), or the laser adjust screw (very small screw to the left of the laser), or maybe even both.
