Hi guys,,

I have Successfully flashed samsung and hitachis before.

Power on 360
Power on Pc
Boot Floppy - Type mtkflash r /m orig.bin - then plug sata into 360 and press return.

I get:

1- IDE Sec Slave
2- VIA8237 Sec Master

If i choose 1 , i get Port 170, Master/Slave :Bo
Then if i choose 2 , i get Port 9c00 Master/slave ao

Any ideas why it wont flash? i have gone through my bios over and over again am really stuck.
Originally i used to get

1- IDE Sec Master
2- VIA8237 Sec Slave

and i would choose 1- IDE Sec Master & it would be a Successfull flash

- everything powered down
- plug 360 drive sata into pc
- power on pc
- boot from usb memory (I don't use a floppy)
- type " mtkflash r /m orig.bin " ...but don't hit "enter"
- power on 360 drive
- now hit enter

I get

1 ide master
2 ide slave
3 via 8237 master
4 via 8237 slave

I choose 3.

Out of curiosity i had tried my Own 360 which has already been modded to see if i could get the orig.bin, anywayz it worked and it retrived the orig.bin - so i know the pc is set right..

My own 360 hdd has a sticker on it saying October 2005 and my friends which am haveing the problem with is May 2006. So... is there any new software which im suposed to use with the new models?

I have the Xtreme30

i tried the Xtreme3.3 still wont get the orig.bin

Samsung, ok. Xtreme 3.3 is the latest. But if your drive is already flashed then you can't get the orig.bin off it. That's been flashed over with the xtreme 3.0 firmware.

You don't have to go through the process of getting your orig.bin again.

You (hopefully) should have saved your orig.bin on you pc somewhere. Just copy that into the xtreme 3.3 folder where the "make x33.bin" is. Then just double click that and it'll make a x33.bin for you.

Then you just use the x33.bin and flash over the xtreme 3.0. " mtkflash w /m x33.bin "

oh dude same exact promblem as you all i had to do is power on the xbox at the A: but then as soon as i powered it on connect the sata cable to the motherboard or pci card trust me it will work!
