Hi guys:
I have some experience backing up movies etc., and I learned a lot from the guys in this forum. Anyway, now I found a problem that I could not solve. I tryed to backup the Simon & Garfunkel Concert In Central Park. I ripped it with Decrypter to my HD (when I do that with any other movie, inmediatelly I can see -play- the movie, ...I use Windows-player, and never had a problem), when I tryed to watch it(Simon & Garfunkel .. clicking one of the VOB files), Windows-player opens up but does not play. Then I runned DVDFab to debugg it, still didn't play, finally I used the tool (I think its call Fixvob), which further debugs the movie (this works very good with the Disney movies); but, still does not play, ...so I know that something is wrong, so I think it would be a waste of a DVD to burn it in this state. Does any body can give me an advice of what to do next?
I'll really apreciate any help.
Cheers
I use DVD Shrink to copy the movies to my HD;then I use a called dvd unlead to burn my back ups to a disc.If that doesn't work I'll your a file called DVD xcopy.Between the two if then If one doesn't work the other one will.
johnnyemh,
Welcome to the forum. Since DVDDecrypter has not been updated in over a year and will never be it just needs a little help. Since you have FixVTS and DVDDecrypter then I suggest you use Ripit4Me. The program is free. If this fails then you might have a bad mastering press and you will need to return it. One of the members here (ArnieBear) wrote this guide on how to use it and it is in the link below.
johnnyemh,
The Bad Mastering Press is when there could be a bubble or similar problem or the DVD structure is incorrect as it will play in a DVD Player but the computer has problems w/ the read
