Hi there. I'm having a problem reading cd's that I've burned using the CD burner I was using before upgrading to a DVD burner. I'm not sure if it's just the more recent cd's that I burned, or if it's all the cd's I've burned (so in other words if it is a case of the laser having grown weak over years of usage), but I do know that these same cd's did work back when I was still using that CD burner to read them. Basically, I will pop the cd in, and it won't autorun. If I try opening the cd manually through Windows Explorer, my computer eventually locks up. This also happens with my girlfriends computer. Last time I tried, it eventually read the cd, but when I tried extracting a rar file, it froze when it reached about 7%. My previous CD burner was an LG, and my new DVD burner is a Pioneer. Is there anything I can do about this, or do I have a couple hundred new coasters?
