Sometimes my read rate is at 6x, usually around 2x. On all the DVDs I try to decrypt, at least 1 big file messes up and I have to redo it again and again. I'm in file mode, then I go on to use either Clone or DVD2One/Nero to finish my burning. Any other Decryptors out there that work without the errors or faster?

Yes I use DVD2One about once a week when I burn the same movie multiple times, it works well. I didn't like DVD Shrink, I want to have working menus. If/when it has working menus I'll be all over it.

The problems I'm running into are only in DVD Decryptor.

I get working menus. Great program, BTW. I have found that the menus don't work ONLY if I try to reauthor. If you back up the whole DVD (without the audio that you don't want), you probably shouldn't get the problem.

BTW, I found this thread by doing a search, because I am having problems all of a sudden. I have an extensive DVD colection, and started using Shrink to back them up. The first few worked with no problem, but lately I am getting errors on a few. Shrink gave me an I/O error on quite a few DVDs, and said that it couldn't continue, so I downloaded Decryptor. It is also giving me read errors and positioning errors. I read here that when that happens, you should clean the DVD and try again, but one of the DVDs is fairly new ( maybe a couple of months old). Is the problem always caused by dirty DVDs? Could it be possibly caused by some kind of protection? If so, do you know of a way around it?
