ok I recently bought my ps2 about 2 weeks ago, I have not been around since swap magic 2.0
I heard friends telling me to use a hd method which he uses. I have a pc I dont use with a 80gig hd that I am going to use. The computer has motherboard issues so I already tried test fitting the hd and it fits. Problem is, is there any way without buying additional software such as hd advance to make it work?
I have nothing but a v10 ps2, breaker pro(enables ps1 backups and imports), and a slide card. No swap magic because I sold it long time ago.
Can anyone explain me what I exactly need to do without buying anything else such as swap magic, hd advance, modchip, codebreaker.
If its possible please let me know, I have searched and searched countless hours and have found info about needing a boot device such as codebreaker or swap magic to get the memory card exploit which is supposedly required to use a backed up version of hd loader. Please pros, help me, I was once a pro 2 years ago when I was modding my systems such as xboxs and ps2s but everything changes, however, I am a faster learner and become a pro again.
Since you were a pro once, you should be able to figure it out. A burnt copy of hd loader is just like a burnt copy of a game, it will not work without a mod. You could try loading a burnt copy of hd loader with breaker pro (probably won't work, but its worth a shot). You need to have some sort of boot disc to get the memory card exploit to work (swap magic, code breaker, older gameshark, etc).
i highly doubt breaker pro would work since it is for ps1 games. But who knows without trying, I guess I could just buy that disk. I was a pro back in the days.
BTW you have an ugly eclipse =) 3g models sucked, it was the 2g awd models that were awesome belive me.
