Google " HitachiSamsungTutorialV41Merged.pdf " and download it. That's an actual guide you can read.

still i tryed to do something but it doesnt work , i dont understand NOTHING in that guide , so plz someone can write how i can install firmware , wit eazy words and intructions:

and i dont understand one thing is the drive is my pc drive or xbox drive my pc drive is LG will it work wit it?

if u have an lg hitachi then there are different xtreme firmwares for them. the newest is 1.3

Ok Im new to all this but Ive read every post and didnt really see my ? answered. Ok I understand you have to flash the box and Im assuming the only way to do that is to open it up but does that apply to backing up also. Basically what Im askin is there a way to do this without opening the box or do you have to do this no matter what. Thanks for your time and Im sorry if someone already answered this ? and I missed it.

Just need to flash once. Then you can both play and backup. Only need to reflash (reopen 360) if you want to upgrade/change your firmware.
