can i use 3d max to edit halo 2 levels?

i was looking on the web i saw that you can get halo custom edition for pc
so i was woundering surly there is a way to do the same for halo 2

i nocticed 3d max i have version 8
can i use this to create a level i have a level idea in my head that is really cool
i have a little exp on 3d max so can i use it?

i really like to use a level editor in 3d like 3d world studio or 3d max or even light wave

please help

here's a 3D editor that is always used for halo 2. It is called milkshape.

does it work i tryed milk shape before i never nknew it worked for halo 2

is there a tutor for me as well
i need a little help making a new map
i dont like editing maps see i like to create from new i have a little exp in making maps so i like to make halo 2 map

no u cant the files are in a different format i think but go to som site i cant remember were i got mine but its called milk shape and it works fine so google it and u should b straight
