Here is how to make EXECFTPS.ELF use IPCONFIG.DAT instead of CONFIG.DAT:

1. Extract EXECFTPS.ELF using PS2-UNPACKER.

ps2-unpacker.exe EXECFTPS.ELF EXECFTPN.ELF

2. Open EXECFTPN.ELF with an Hex Editor (i used HHD Hex Editor).

3. Find the first "CONFIG.DAT" entry, and replace the two ".." before CONFIG.DAT with "IP".

4. Compress EXECFTPN.ELF using PS2-PACKER.

ps2-packer.exe EXECFTPN.ELF EXECFTPS2.ELF

5. It is done. Now EXECFTPS2.ELF will search for IPCONFIG.DAT instead of CONFIG.DAT, but the messages will remain unchanged and still refer to CONFIG.DAT.

Is there a way to force ExecFTP Server to use IPCONFIG.DAT instead of CONFIG.DAT? That way, all ELFs would use the same file. I searched on google for the source code, but i couldn't find it. I also tried to hexedit the file but couldn't find the "CONFIG.DAT" string, maybe because it's a compressed ELF.
