Hi Guys,

Im new to XBox but have flashed motherboard memoys etc on PC's so figure if I get the right guid and flash update I should manage this..
Im reading there are 3 different DVD drives an Xbox 360 can have and wondered how I can identify what one I have?

Do I have to open it up to see?

Im concerned that there is a DVD drive that is more difficult to mod and involves wiring and I fear I may not manage this but am hoping I can simply do a software mod/flash

Any advice as to the correct guides or threads to review would be great as there are so many in here I want to follow the right one,

You could open the 360 to check what dvd drive it has...but
you do not have to,just power on the 360 and press the button that opens the disk tray.now compare your tray to the ones in the link to find out what drive you have :)

Its appears by the look of things I have a samsung drive.

Now to see what I need to do and what software I need with samsung....

tag just get the new firmware v3.3 and the mtkflash ....thats all u need to download..
