No, I haven't "gotten" that, seeing as I don't use iTunes for my downloading needs :-)

iMovies has been anticipated, but nothing confirmed. We'll find out soon enough though :-)

I don't want to start with a MAC or WINDOWS war as I never tried MAC so I can't judge it. But don't you work with Audio? And isn't MAC best for Video and Audio editing?

no, mac is nowhere near better than PCs for audio or video editing. ten years ago, macs were more stable, but ever since win2000 and XP has been out, OS X is not better for editing than PCs. The only reason why OS X is semi decent is because it was based on UNIX in the first place.

All major editing programs, such as Avid for video, and Pro Tools for audio work excellent on PCs as well as macs. The school I teach audio at only has macs, so I am forced to use them on a daily basis. I know from years of first hand experience that they have no advantage over PCs. and with PCs, there are so many many many more options out there as far as applications go. with macs you're so limited to your options.

I must say, I hate the Mac, however, iTunes is arguably one of the best media players around; it's certainly the best I've ever used. The playlisting features are top drawer, bar none.

The new iPods do nothing for me, though. My music collection has surpassed 150gb, so my 60gb iPod is enough to carry my select tunes around.

New iTune is lemon

Bug in the Apple
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=34386
By Steve Nosejob: Thursday 14 September 2006, 15:18
THE LATEST version of Apple?s iTunes is proving buggy with punters complaining about poor sound quality and skipping tracks.

Version 7 was launched by Apple as the "the most significant enhancement since it debuted in 2001".

Apple customers, not one for complaining until every thing is officially confirmed, have been writing to various message boards to have a moan.

We do not think that getting comments like "ITUNES 7 RUINED MY LIFE", "I recommend walking away from Version Seven" are the sort of significant enhancements Apple had in mind.

Initial reports were dismissed as being "only a few Windows owners" but then a few Mac people started to have the same problem. Some users complained that tracks they had previously bought from the music store had vanished after the upgrade.

Only a small number of users who have posted say they are not having any trouble, and threads that convert users back to 6.0.5 are getting a lot of attention.

Apple has made no comment about the problem yet. More here. µ

@ Lethal_B;

I've heard many people say that they like itunes and whatnot. me personally, I'm a long time winamp fan.

As long as people realize that its okay to PLAY your music with itunes, but for the love of god don't RIP your CDs with itunes.

itunes 7 is giving me grief. I just want to be able to browse like I could with 6. (the eyeball, three colum deal) I just made it easier to browse 10,000 songs with a tenth as many artists. .. I guess I could stop bitchin already and just roll back to six... lol. sorry for taking this off topic. iMovies sounds like a grand idea... I like my way for now.. its cheaper... ;)

I don't personally like WinAmp. I have heard so many good things about it, but I guess, when you are used to iTunes, it's hard to get into.

iTunes + Tag&Rename + Exact Audio Copy + LAME Encoder + GeForce visuals + dBPowerAmp + Audacity + Sony Acid = A great & complete set of audio tools (for my money :)
