I've been having problems w/ a couple of the DVDs that I've copied not playing in my DVD player...

It only happens w/ some of them, not all. It only happens on one of my DVD players, but will work in my others. And I'm using the same media and process for all of the discs I make.

Would it be more likely that there was something wrong with the movie that I was copying (ex. of ones that wouldn't work are March of the Penguins, Failure to Launch, that's all I can think of right now), or a bad DVR? or just a fluke that has repeated itself?

I haven't tried to reburn any of these yet. Any thoughts are appreciated.

question for ya,

What brand of media r u using?

Also some dvd players wont play some brands of dvds, especially cheap low quality brands.

I've had the same problem 2/ two different types, Verbatim and Memorex, 16x, +R's

Like I said, most of the time it works fine on this particular DVD player (a magnavox), but once in a great while it will not read the disc, it just keeps "reading" until there is a disc error. I'll then put the disc in my PS2, or my computer, or even some cheapo portable DVD player of my in-laws (insignia) and it will work on all of those.

Verbatim wouldnt play properly in some of my friends dvd players but would play fine in mine try the sony 16x DVD+R booktyped to dvd-rom... a dvd-rom is the same as a store bought dvd.Alsp try prodisc i've never had a problem with them playing on any dvd player.

So is it likely that this was probably just a fluke of me burning on a bad disc a couple of times? If so I don't get why it would play on others... I'll probably try to reburn (if I can track down the originals again) and see if I have the same problems.
