Firstly, what is the best way to get .elf files onto my HD? Will WinHIIP work?

Also, if I could boot up HD Loader, switch in my backed up PS1 disc (PS2 won't reset because it doesn't reset when HD Loader is in), then load up LaunchELF and run Cogswap or BreakerPro. Since the PS1 disc is alreay in there, you don't need to swap it. So, couldn't you boot a PS1 backup game disc without a Fliptop or Slide Card?
