BOOTING GAMES FROM HARD DRIVE

I have an image of grand theft auto liberty city stories on my ps2 hard drive but when i load the game it goes as far as the end of th intro and then stops, this also happens with GT4.

how do i sort this out so that it plays the full game.

its working now, thanks.

also i just downloaded an image of soul blade for ps1 and i wanted to play it on my ps2 either by swapping disk or through the hard drive.

could you help.
