I saw some videos of how Swap Magic works and it seems slow to boot up. I am an inpatient person I'll admit. I mean I don't mind swapping a disc but it seems to load slowly. Does a modchip work faster than this or does it also take as long to finally get a game running?

loading times can be pretty slow depending on the game (like kingdom hearts 2 had terrible loading times). If you're an impatient person then I would suggest for you to defenatly get a modchip, you may think you don't mind swaping but, after you do it for a while you're gonna want to get a mod chip.

Modchip is the best way to go. Now there are other options of course hd advance(depending on your ps2 fat or slim)your games are booting up from hard drive so they will boot great also. Kind in mind I use swap magic and works great for me, it has a lot to do with the media you use also, you use great media load time will be just at great a oringinal. The video you saw, they were playing a imported game so that might also have something to do with the load time , but only when it starts, other than that I don't think there will also be any problems loading the rest of the game or while playing the game.

No Swap Magic doesnt make your game work slower,it depends on what game your tryien to boot.My swap magic boots all my games very fast without any hastle.
