I want to know if there is any programs I can use that will pretty much host my hard drive on the internet but with the restriction of needing a password to even get into it. For a better explanation of what I want, these are the steps:
1. Go to a internet address such as a IP address or a http address.
2. Enter a username and password.
3. Be redirected to a page that shows the root directory of folders and files.
4. Click on a file or link to a sub-folder.
5. After clicking a file, it is downloaded and opened on the computer your using.
Does anyone know of any good web-based setups or programs that can do that?
P.S. I dont want to use the unsecure, difficult, etc. microsoft program that they have. Thanks in advance for any help.
