I was just wondering if it is at all possible to backup a burned dvd? I made a backup copy of the movie shrek and both of the original and the copy were sitting on the counter and my cousin took the original outside to play freesbie...needless to say the original is trashed and the backup is in perfect condition. Is it going to affect the new disk if I make a backup of the backup??

As long as you made a good backup, there will be no problems.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

yes you can make a backup of a backup, like dialysis1 said media is one thing, the best way is to do a disk copy that is if you have two seprate drives that is one dvd rom and one dvdrw drive just put the backed up disk in the dvd rom drive and thain put the blank dvd disk in the dvdrw drive and use your favroite dvd burning software and hit copy disk and there you go, there many software programs to use my self i use ashampoo or Nero or Blindwrite, but not in that order, but in case that you just have a combo drive just copy the files to the hard drive and thain burn the disk from the folders on the hard drive, hope that helps happy burning good luck have a nice day!

U can use DVD Decrypter doing it this way. which is very simple

Mode/ISO/Read to rip the backup takes 5-6mins,
then Mode/ISO/Write to burn to a new disk takes 6-15mins depending on the write speed.
