Summer holidays; a time to relax, take a break, get away from it all and have fun!
Right so I thought I'd start this thread so everyone can share their
best/most outrageous/funny summer holiday moments with everyone!
So let's begin.
A few summers ago I was spending time with my cousin. We were messing around in the garden and his mum comes out and asks us to get rid of some garden waste lying around. So we decide to go off to the field out the back of his house and have a bonfire; being teenage boys and having a fascination with fire lol. Anyway we go off and walk to the back of the field until we are out of view of his house/mum lol, and set it up. Now what we were doing wasn't exactly sensible and therefore something his mum wouldn't approve of so we didn't tell anyone.
Can you see wher this is going?
Anyway, We start up the fire and all is going fine - we're having a great time; seemingly overcome by fire lol and loose all common sense what-soever. So it's been dry this summer and the field is unused and just full of whispy long grass. In about 30 seconds our bonfire had gone to dangerous field fire thing. So we panic. My idiot of a cousin tries to put it out?!? lol, Meanwhile... i run back to the house and babble what has happened to my - now shocked - aunt. She calls the fire brigade, who arrive pronto, and rush out and about and go about putting the fire out.
Eventually the fire was put out and no one got hurt. The field was left charred for a whiel and the guy who owned it wasn't too pleased lol. Well, that must be one of the stupidest summer holiday moments I have ever encountered in my life.
