hi everyone if you rip your ps2 games will it effect the game.

Depends on what size the game originally was, and what size the media you're going to be writting to is.
For example; If you plan on ripping a DVD game to CD, then unless the total size of the data already on the DVD is the same as the total capacity of a CD-R, then you will need to lose some of the game, whether it is movie files, audio, foreign languages, or whatever is needed to get it to fit onto the CD-R

i wanted to rip the game to a 4.7gb dvd and its about 5-7 gb(the game)

Then you'll most likely lose some of the game's content, unless downsampling of movie files is enough to make the game small enough for DVD5.
Do a forum search in the PS2 DVD forum for ripping DVD9 to DVD5. There is a topic that has God Of War, GT4 & 50 Cent in the topic title that covers this type of rip/rebuild.
