ok i got the via vt 6421 nonraid card that every one has..plugged it in ..used a hexedited mtkflash that i downloaded...but when i hit enter insted of choose 1 it just starts reading then it stops at 64 every time and says fail to write output file ..please help

you may be running out of space on the floppy disk you are writing to, make sure that there isat least 256k space on the floppy disk for the firmware

get another floppy disk and put mtkflash.exe andf mtkflash.typ on it
boot into the command prompt (a:\) then swap the floppy disk for the other one that I said to create.
type: Mtkflash r /m original.bin
it should now backup your firmware
