Is the Connectivity Kit really that easy because i'm switching from the nme to the flash. Witch Connectivity Kit should I get.
1. X360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2
2. Xeno 360 Connectivity Kit
3. Connectivity Kit for Xbox 360

Get #1. You get #3 with #1 and don't need a sata port. You flash via USB

So I need to get the X360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2 AND the Connectivity Kit. I thought the USB with Connectivity Kit v2 replace the use of a PC sata port...

Hi,
Do I still need to open my xbox360 to flash the firmware for the DVD?
Can I flash the DVD firmware without openning my xbox 360? I want to make backup of my games because they cost way too much.

You don't need to get 1 AND 3... just 1 OR 2 OR 3 (but if you buy number 1 then number 3 comes with it free). If you don't want the usb (only hitichi drives can use it) then 2 or 3 will be fine. Both work ok.

I want something that is all in one.I don't want to have to find a sata pci and it's not compatible USB is not a problem I have 9 usb ports 5 usb 2.0 and 4 usb 1.0. I just want to make things simple I don't want worry about needing another for it to work.So do you think the X360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2 is my best choice.

First off, tell me what version DVD drive you have in your xbox360.
It could be cheaper to do it with neither of those 3 products. But if you're going to buy anything at all,get the Xbox360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2 if you can find a store actually shipping them. New products are coimg out as well if you wish to wait that will make flashing even easier but the methods out there now are the most tested and stable ways.

PS2's right... It can be done alot cheaper... $0.00 in fact. But if you don't mind spending the money then that's ok, too.
You really do need to know which drive you have first. The first pic here shows the difference in drives. Look at the tray.

The x360 usb will only work with the hitachi drives. I've just read that it will be shipped to resellers on Sept. 19th.
Connectivity Kit's can be found pretty easily, but you need a sata port on your pc.

I have a hitichi drives v46.

That site is pretty cool but it's for a samsung drive do they have the same steps for a hitichi drive verison 46

so 2 is good for my samsung then? http://www.clevermod.com/index.php?article=44 is that all i need to do for playing backed up games? also i saw some new thing where its a usb connect kit where u put on top of ur 360 and it glows green and then u plug a usb into that and that to ur computer i think its from that xectur guys or something

I linked that site just for the first pic in it which shows the drive difference. It is for the samsung drive, but also it's outdated and shouldn't be followed with the new firmware that's out.
@ pika... 2 is good. That new thing is the Blaster360. It doesn't have a usb connection, though. It's a power and sata port. So you'd still need a sata port on your pc.

I think I'm better off with the X360 USB with Connectivity Kit v2 because I read on xbox scene that you can Brick Your system with the free way I rader be safe than sorry.

You can't brick your drive the "free way" unless you fry it with the 2 wire trick to get it into mode B. Use the SLAX CD with a compatiable SATA PCI card (one with SiL3112 works perfectly). You can't brick anything until the actual flash process anyway. All the connectivity kit does it get the drive in modeB. Which you can do for free if you have a SATA motherboard or for less than the kit with the PCI SATA card.
The bricking of peoples drives usually result from a bad flash with a bad firmware. Know your firmware you're going to flash is legit before you do anything. And make 15 backups of your original firmware and DVD key.
