Hey I was wondering, I'm planing on buying an Xbox 360 but the one i'm planing on getting is an NTSC/J I think, if I buy this, will it be compatible with PAL games? Because I've heard some rumours that NTSC/J Consoles of game consoles are region free, but i'm not sure if this is true, so can anyone help me? thanks.
The reason i'm asking this question is because I'm from Australia, but I currently live in China, and I can buy an Xbox 360(NTSC/J) here in China for $500(AUD), but in Australia they cost $650(AUD), Australian consoles are PAL by the way, and I want to buy the cheaper one which is here, but when I go back to Australia to live, I want to be able to buy PAL games for my Xbox 360 if I have an NTSC/J Console, so anyway, I have a couple of questions before I go ahead and do this :
1.Will My NTSC/J Console work in Australia(PAL), or will I need a power converter (transformer)?
3.If PAL games don't work on an NTSC/J Console, is there a region encoder of some sort that allows your Xbox 360 to be Region Free or at least play PAL games?
4.Is the NTSC/J Console Region Free?
If these questions could be answered, it would be a big thanks.
