More Firefox advice needed please

I seem to be missing a plugin or else it is not configured properly and I'm asking advice on this. I have the latest flash, shockwave, realplayer, quicktime, java plugins. A picture says it best
I used explorer browser to open same page and the video played with windows media no problem, its a typical video stream like you'd find anywhere with embedded controls. I also had a previous problem that I gave up on due to not being able to replicate it so I figured it was a "glitch" somewhere

Okay, I think I can help you, but first I need to find out some stuff. First type "about:plugins" (without the quotes) in your Firefox searchbar and click go. Scroll down until you see "Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library" and it should look like this because I can see video in Firefox:
If you don't even see "Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library" check the Windows Media Player program folder for "npdsplay.dll" plug-in. If it's not there you may need to re-install WMP.
If the plug-in is in the program folder, you may need to re-intall Firefox because its not registered with Firefox.
But get back to me before you do anything so I'll have a better idea of how to help you.

Don't worry about it saying that it's for Netscape Navigator because Netscape plugins work in Firefox just fine.

@tmr250z---Thanks for the response. I checked "about:plugins" (without the quotes) and I have no "Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library" and cannot find "npdsplay.dll" even in my windows media folder. I thought maybe that windows media was the problem but wasnt sure about installation. What is my next step?

Okay, Since you already have Windows Media Player installed, you need the browser plugin. As I've stated above go to this link, download the plugin, close Firefox and install it:

After you install the plugin, restart your computer just in case. Then, go to about:plugins in Firefox, see if its there now (it should look like my pic above). If so, try to play the video again and reply back.
If not, reply back so we can try something else.

That was it. Thank you much. Now if i can figure out that glitch in the other thread I mentioned, the conversion over to Firefox from IE will be complete.

Sorry Deadrum33 for the late reply. I don't know why there is a white box instead of your myspace url in Firefox. The funny thing is I get the same result when I view the page in firefox: a white box where the url should be. But in IE, the url is perfectly visible. I checked a few other myspace pages in Firefox and they diaplay just fine, so all I can do is guess the maybe the glitch is only in your page, maybe it's the way it set up.
Sorry I couldn't help you out with this one, but I hope you enjoy using Firefox regardless.

Thank you much. I seen the same results with sometimes yes/no but at least its very isolated and really unnecessery in the big picture. Still its the chase thats the fun right?
I have been experimenting with fasterfox and videodownloader extensions for the past few days. I cant really find a happy setting for fasterfox, I think due to my wireless connection. I just ran my first few sucessful tests of downloader and I think I might find it useful.
