i have evox dash and i want to upgrade my hdd from the standard 8-10GB to a 180 GB, what should i look for when i buy it, also are there any models that are really good and others i should stay clear of.

also where is the best place to buy them
xbox with xecuter 2.6 CE mod chip with unleash X dashboard and 160 GB HDD
PSP FW 1.50 with dark alex's custom firmware!

i think the best place to buy then would be kannection or ebay ,,
i dont no whether ur us or uk..
or you could find a old computer that doesent work.. buy that cheap and use that HDD in your xbox!!!LOL
not sure if you can do that though

If you're in the US, I suggest Newegg.
Look for an ATA IDE hard drive. Ultra ATA will work as well. Try to get either Western Digital or Seagate. Preferably Seagate.

im in the UK (sorry for not saying that before), i have heard that you need to buy a hdd that surports locking or something like that

Since you have a X2.6CE, you don't have to worry too much about whether it locks or not since mod chips allow the Xbox to run with an unlocked hard drive. Unless of course you plan on disabling the chip for XBL or some other reason.
I have no idea where you'd get a good deal on one in the UK.

thanks for the help,i found this one, i do disable the chip sometimes as my bro plays the xbox and he doesn't know about this sort of stuff so would i still need to know about locking, also i found this one, what do you think

Hello i have a Evox Dash im from the us and i need to know how to get a new hd in my xbox and how to formate it so that it works and dosent give me the red light error screen and stuff. if anybody out ther knows how to get a bigger hdd on my box plz send me a e-mail with full instructions or reply CodyWard123@hotmail.com
