i see ive got internet explorer on there however ive got Firefox , so how can i totally get rid of IE.

I don't think you can get rid of micorsoft IE its part of the OS just use Firefox as default

Why do you want rid of IE? It is needed for some sites Firefox cannot load correctly.
Anyway, run a scan only with HijackThis , check to fix these.
