Hi, I've got a Sony RDR-GX210 DVD recorder which has just run out of warranty and developed a problem. I tried to copy a film yesterday and upon completion it got stuck in the final writing-to-disc stage. Everything hung up for at least an hour - remote, buttons on the machine and eventually I shut it down completely by pulling the plug out of the mains. Since then it won't read any of my DVDs, even ones that were working fine beforehand. It just keeps giving me an error message saying "unable to load disc". I've tried resetting back to factory setting but that's achieved nothing. Any ideas? It's driving me mad!
