I want to install a new hdd for my xbox to download games and have homebrew stuff. I just saw an add in the paper for a 120GB internal "Seagate ST3120026A-RK" and i was wondering if this hdd is compatible and can be locked. any help is appreciated.

Also what can i download on to a hdd besides games?

According to the Xbox HDD compatibility chart, it's lockable and should work fine.

Other than games, you could load applications and emulators. You could also store music and movies if you like, since XBMC can play pretty much any format nowadays.
