upgrading HD on softmodded xbox problem

I am trying to add a new 250gb WD hard drive to my softmodded xbox. I used this tutorial http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/203286 .

I have a laptop and I got a case for the hd to hookup to my computer. I already made the iso and added the c and e drives and made a dvd (do I need a CD instead?). Now the problem I am having is after I switched the new hd to master and took out the hard drive on my laptop, I reboot with the cd/dvd drive and it comes up with an error saying "primary hard disk drive 0 not found" then "No bootable devices-stike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility"

So if someone can tell me what the heck to do that would be great.

nevermind, burned it onto a CD and it boots up.
