This happened to me about 2 years ago, burned a movie with unusual copy protection via DVD Shrink and it close down completely. Opened it back up to burn again and it only starts for about 1 minute then closes down. Took it to the computer shop cause I needed a fan fixed and told him to look at that to.

He ended up fixing it and gave me directions which were
BIOS
Chipset Features Setup
Ide Second
Set for DMA

I went into BIOS but cannot find set for DMA or ide second.

Ended up trying to burn Glory Road via DVD Shrink and the great error happened again where my DVD player wont burn again. I think its all disney movies regardless, need to fix this. Thanks for hte help.

Hi blingz
You're problem sounds more like the Disney movies. Shrink can't handle any of the newer ones like Glory Road by it's loneseome. Shrink shutting down is one of the things it will do if it can't handle the copy protection.
So here's some options:
Rip w/ DVDFab decrypter - run thru VobBlanker (both free)then process those files thru Shrink.

Or Ripit4Me -uses Shrink & decrypter too - all programs free too:

Or run AnyDVD in the background w/ Shrink. Not free but has a 21 day free trial and is updated often to handle of the new stuff.

Here's a guide to check your DMA too:

Incase you can't read it - says.

The application or DLL C:\Windows\System32\sysdm.cpl is not a valid windows image. Please check against your installation diskette.

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it.

Ya got me on that one - the most I can tell you is sysdm.cpl is a command you can type in start>run to pull up system properties. You can get to device manager from there in the hardware tab.
