Problem with SM3.8 and booting ELF programs, please help

I have a Swap Magic 3.8 coder and a MP3-player, which also works as an USB-drive. I created a folder SWAPMAGIC in the drive as was said in the SM manual, and then I renamed LaunchELF to SWAPMAGIC.ELF and copied it to that folder, also told to do in the manual.

When I boot up my SM disc, it goes to the menu and then nothing, just a black screen where it should load the program from the usb stick.

Somebody help me, I've tried to do _everything_ that I can.
