just to say i've just flashed my 47d hitachi with the fixed birdy flasher and that it works a treat,i used a usb to sat cable using the slax cd in a vm player to get the drive in modeb, my only trouble was taking off the case, the media check is awesome, as i used data rite media, (with is ritek) and an lg burner.
overall not much hassle, and well worth it.

Hi
Ive just been reading on Hitachi methods, I have a samsung and didnt have to use that method but I wondered if I could ask where did you get the usb to sata cable? and how do you set this up? Was this from the conectivity Kit?

Hi jericho20

I have recently brought a XBOX 360 and would like to hack / flash the drive so it can read backup.

Can you please write a step by step guide (as simple as you possibly can) for me as many tutorials I found seems to be very complicated to follow. If possible includes pics or photos in your guide.

I managed to open the XBOX 360 case. All I need to know is how to go about connecting it to my PC, changing the BIOS setting / RAID settings, and then flashing the actual XBOX drive.

If you could also state down what software / programs, tools, and all nessessarily equipements required to carry out this, and where to obtain these from.

P.S. I am a computer idiot, please write in full not short hand (computer terms), better still treat me like a 5 year old child.
