I tried to do my homework before posting, but i am still stumped. I had Nero 6 and was burning fine. Then i bought a new external burner (LG) and it came with the Nero 7. Upgraded, Tried to burn-(Error:\Cannot connect TRF.) After reading all the forums, I uninstalled Nero 7 and reinstalled Nero 6. Now im gettting (Burn process failed at 8x(11,080 KB/s)-error). Im using the same media that i successfully burned with at one point (HP and Sony).

I have tried to burn at a lower speed,
My DMA says its on,
I believe i have the latest firmware, just upgraded,
tried to burn with Clone DVD2 and get...(setting up, erasing-aborting)

Here is the latest error log:

Wow, your version of Nero is real old !

Upgrade to v6.6.18 I think is the last v6.x or the latest v7.x version.

Your LG Device, is a USB one right ?
Since it's not seen on the IDE bus :)

CMC MAG ? Those are real real real did I say real low quality media :)
I would not burn those more than 2x

Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Maxell Made In Japan are real good quality media.

I had Nero 7 and when I tried to copy, i received:

Error:\Cannot connect TRF

By reading the other forums, I learned Nero 7 will not work with Shrink and was told to uninstall Nero 7, then install Nero 6. Now it reads:

(Burn process failed at 8x(11,080 KB/s)-error.

Why is DMA disabled? When I check it through Device Manager it says

DMA if available...

LG is external USB

The DVD+R were working fine at one point, but I will try other brands
