Burn error message

I have been burning with no problems for a long time. All of a sudden I start getting these burn errors after I shrink or use Defab then try to burn with Nero. I use this media all the time and have had no problems with them. I would appreciate it if anyone can give me some info on what my problem could be...Thanks in advance.

Since the firmware is current, try burning at 4x instead of 8x, if that doesn't help, consider trying another brand of media like verbatim.
Also, if your trying to booktype those disks as shown here:

You can't apply booktyping to DVD-R media, this feature (if supported by your burner) can only be applied to DVD+R media. Either disable the request in Nero or use DVD+R disks.

Thanks for the response. A couple of things, first I am using Verbatim DVD-R discs. These may just be a bad batch. Secondly, what it booktyping? I am not trying to do it since I don't even know what it is...Maybe that is my problem.

Sorry, my mistake, MCC 03 - RG20 is the ID for verbatim disks.
Booktyping fools the player into recognizing DVD+R disks as DVD-ROMs which can help with incompatibility issues encountered with older players.
Here's some info on it;

To check your setting in nero:
run Nero burning rom from the smart start menu
close the popup window
goto--> recorder-->choose recorder
click on your recorder in the window
click on the options button
under booktype setting choose automatic from the dropdown menu and click ok
