Is it possible to use the SATA to USB adapter with the slax cd instead of the Xecuter usb Connectivity Kit. And is it harder to use.

I bought a sata -> usb convertor and it wouldnt pick up my 360 at all on my computer any other drive i connected to it worked but not the 360 I tried both 2 wire and slax and nothing happened i ordered a x360 usb and am waiting for it to be mailed.
