Ok i need help finding a easy to install xbox mod chip, the programs i'm looking to use are Alcohol 120% and qwix with the chip, also i need a chip that works with all xbox versions because the sticker that determines what version my xbox is was rubbed off some how.
so if any one can tell me what chip would work for me and where to find it would help a lot
oh ya also does every mod chip come with a dash bord already installed into the mod chip or do i need to buy a dash bord seprate? if so let me know where to find a good dash bord that will work with the chip

I recommend the Xecuter chips. Namely the X2.6CE and X3 chips. They're a bit pricey compared to budget chips, but they're top quality and have excellent support.
Go to team-xecuter.com and on the side there are official reseller websites listed. Pick whichever one's closest to you and has the best prices.
Also, pretty much all mod chips have to be flashed with the latest BIOS before you can use them for back-ups and homebrew. They won't come with any dashboards either, but those are free anyway so it doesn't matter much.
I recommend taking a look at Avalaunch and UnleashX for your default dashboard. Also, you may find it easier to just use Slayer's Autoinstaller or AID to install the dashboards for you.

ok now to flash the xbox mod chip lets say i bought the Xecuter x3 chip how would i flash the chip would i have to buy a cd to put into the xbox or how would i do that?
also do you know any place that would show me step by step to install the x3 chip because i think i am going to end up buying this chip if i can just figure out how to figure out where to get the rest of every thing i need to get

I agree, I have the X3 Chip in my xbox, and it was solderless, and easy to install, I would go with The X3 Chip.

Xenium sp gold solderless is the latest and very easy to install. Follow the setup guide and d/l (a.i.d) auto installer deluxe as mentioned and YOUR ALL GOOD!
* I have never installed anything other than a zenium so i can't compare it!

i agree with venom, i used the xecuter 2.6, i would say it is he easiest thing i have ever done, just make sure you know what you are doing and you will be fine
xbox with xecuter 2.6 CE mod chip with unleash X dashboard and 160 GB HDD
PSP FW 1.50 with dark alex's custom firmware!
