Well, you do have to open the 360 once to install it. And that plug on it is a sata, not a usb, so you do still need a sata port on your pc. Just giving a heads-up in case someone missed that.
Now, if you make your own backups with your 360 drive, it will save you ALOT of time and be worth the $$$.

Making backups with the 360 drive saves time? Not that I am reccomending this lol, but wouldn't it be easier to download the games from torrent sites?
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

I guess it really depents. Making your own is quicker (~1-2 hrs) and is easy if you use a "one click" program. There's a couple. Downloading is the easiest but, depending on how many leechers there are, can take a long time.

For us were on a slow connection in the UK and downloading takes for ever and is always slow ..so making our own backups is far quicker.
We bought a samsung drive patched up on ebay and fitted it into the PC and Ive been trying it today and its lots easier than taking the 360 console apart every time you wanna make a backup.
There are a couple of nice pieces of software around that will do all your ss, and this makes the tasc easier. For me anyway. :-))
Id be interested to read some tested reviews on the blaster 360 and what all it will do.

Its pretty much pointless if you have the SH-D162C or download torrents. Firmware updates dont even come out as much anymore, so i wouldnt pay 80 dollars specially since i have a hitachi drive (not a lot of updates). I would get it if you plan on making backups from your xbox 360 ODD

Umm... no it hasn't. Go down to pricing where it says "pre order only". Also, check out the Xecuter web site. They're the ones who make it so I'd assume they'd know if it's for sale to the public or not. http://www.team-xecuter.com/ They just posted this on 02/02/07 Quote: We've been crazy busy since our last update on the Blaster360. After many many more tests we feel we finally nailed the problem regarding dumping game data. I think I will ship a number of samples out to the scene to get some hardcore feedback as I'd like it tested on multiple systems.
