hi

i gotta a 40gb toshiba usb external hard drive (http://i13.ebayimg.com/02/i/08/2f/10/43_1.JPG)
a Ps2 and was wondering can i use it as a usb hdd for ps2

i have tried plugin it into my ps2 ( silver version) and nothing happens the lght on the hdd goes green indicating that its ok.

but can i boot the hdd
and even run games from it.

any advice out there

you have to buy this software for the ps2 in order to be able to load/play games with a external hdd on the ps2

you dont have to by anything.
just go to sksapps.com and make sure you know how to use the independence exploit. google it if you need to or pm me.. but I have no idea why you would EVER want to use an external hd.

the ps2 reads from the internal faster as there usb ports are v1.1
if you have a slimline, see if you can try and get a fat ps2. ebay.. gamestop.. ebgames. the slimline have no fans anyways..

yea u dont have to buy it...only if u have a way to boot the disk though...swap magic,modchip, exploit... know anyone with a modded ps2?

i tried using it throught usb i formated in fat32 format and used usb extreme to boot it up n it just hangs at the loading screen

the light on my x hdd jus goes solid red

i hav tried both ports and no luk

i think am jus gna have to get a NA n install another IDE hd to it
