Hi,
I have PS2 with mod chip. I'm not sure what chip that I have but it took me an ages to load PAL games after press million times reset button. Do I need to change my mod chip or recalibrating the laser will work? Thanks

maybe its the tv dude. ^_^
btw even if you get it to run, it wont be that much fun if you dont have a multi-system tv (PAL capable TV), if NTSC only the game is stretched downward and missing parts below (sometime completely black/white). if you have succesfully run a PAL game once, then its not the modchip. it maybe the lens or the DISC.

note that some/recent PAL games have native NTSC support or Progressive scan support. (sega - outrun 2006 coast to coast)

I can play PAL games sometimes and it's not the TV the TV can play PAL and NTSC. When I put PAL games it is saying couldn't read the disk even with the new games that I bought. I will try to recalibrate the lens.

if its the lens, then you should also have trouble running NTSC dvd games and movies too. NTSC and PAL are basically the same datawise.
please note that there are few softwares that has anti-modchip like codebreaker9 for example.
