hi,
well im saving up for a console and the 360 seems the right one. But i remeber that in the Uk when it first came out, there wwere many faults, like game freezing. Is that still the case?

I really dnt want to spend £300 on a console that isnt really top notch. But i hope the 360 is. Can you play like backed up games from the hard drive, is it easy?

Quote:
a noisy exhaust fan, a gigantic oversize power supply, no built-in wireless networking, only three USB ports
Is this the case still?

I heard that the new 360 will have some sort of blue ray player. What si that, and will it be in the new model?

no Blu-ray, just HD-DVD. - it's an add-on.

u can not play backups from th HDD, u can't change the HDD. u can flash the dvd-rom to play burnt games.

oh thanks. So thats simple to do? Does it require opening up the 360?

BTW how would you rate the 360 out of ten?

besides the issues i've had i'd prolly say 9.5 out of 10, there's somethings they could have done better, but otherwise i'm not worried about the restraints of game sizes on DL DVD's as opposed to 'BD-DVD' it's just an unnecessary change in formats, which we've learned before doesn't work out well for one of the 2 companies in the format war.

you do have to open the 360 and connect the dvd-rom to your PC via sata, but the exacts, i'm not sure of, since i've not hacked my x360, and don't plan on doing it really, unless i spend another $300 or so on another one..

the fan isn't really all that loud anyway, and the powersupply is understandable, but there are advances on the 360 fairly regularly, stuff to make flashing the dvd rom easier, and all sorts, the tut's on the top might help if your interested in the backup area of the 360.
