hey,,,

i heard untiteld platinum can unbrick the psp and that custom firmware is just like the untitled platimin...

so can you unbrick with custom firmware???

+1 it's true it can because sometimes wen u flash the psp with a custom fw,or xflash it can damge parts of your psp flash1 files and delete the PHOTO or VIDEO parts of the psp and by flashing it with the custom fw file again it can sometime revive the files but thats all ive heard.

u can only do that unbricking method if u flashed your psp with x-flash and then it gets bricked.

with a custom firmware you can simply unbrick your psp by using the recovery menu and the fasher for recovery eboot included in dark alex's custom frimares. you can then relflash 1.5 firmware and upgrade back up to a custom firmware such as the new 3.10 OE-A

you sure can. i was messing around with custom themes and bricked mine.(the green light would come on but nothing else) luckly i had custom firmware and the recovery folder(with 1.50 EBOOT and 3.03OE-C Winstaller) and within 15mins i was back up and running

The recovery option does not recover all bricks. Only partials.

As hexitnow said you can only recover from some partial bricks not all. for example if you have flashed a bad gameboot you can recover it using the recovery menu

thats what they say but i'm not sure cause i have not heard anything about unbricking.
unless you get a mod chip that would unbrick it.

First of all thanks for Anwering to me. a Mod chip you say! Hmmm Okay I will Buy one just in case if my Psp Bricks on me. Because I am learning the art Of Hacking Iam scared of my psp Bricking on me wille a Downgraded you see I want to DownGrade my PSP to 1.50 my Current psp version is 2.81 Because I want to Put Emulators and Roms on my PSP like Nes, Snes, Arcade, I have a friend who does this but Hes a Lazyass to Help or do it for me some Friend Huh?

thats a good friend of yours :P

well if your buying a Mod Chip then i heard it's a very tricky thing to do and requires someone very skilled to install it. you would have to hire someone to install it for you. VERY expensive.
