Edit: you are getting help here.
Your HjT log is clean but you need to run Kaspersky Online Scan again and when it askes where to scan click "My Computer". That was my fault, I should have stated what to scan...sorry. Please post the new Kaspersky log and all other posts in your first thread.

hiya...bit of a probelm my computer urned itself off and now it wont start up again,im on another pc at the minute..the screen is blue and it says physical memory dumped what does that mean? tnothing is happening...oh god have a wiped the hard drive

No, it's not wiped. It's called "Blue Screen of Death" or BSoD. Most of the time the cause is bad memory, but can be cause by hardware and some malware also. Search Microsoft or Google for the stop code to find out what is causing it. Or, post it here and I'll help your find it.

hey thanks for replying..i really cant get it to startand get past the blue screen. I have written down whats on the screen

ok i have just had another go at it...i have entered the info and then i typed exit the computer restarted and now the screen says..
windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

If the System file is missing and repair will not work I'm out of ideas, sorry. You may have to format and reinstall Windows.

im on windows xp bluescreen setup....do i delete the partition
and then reinstall so sorry

Yes, you have to format then reinstall. Search the Windows - General forum...there are many thread about formatting HD's.
|
