matrix infinity dvd player not set up

I just installed a new matrix infinity in my PS2. I have a v6. When I turn it on a see the matrix logo and when I insert an original game it tells me that the DVD player is not set up. It doesn't recognize my memory card either. I don't jnow what to do. Can someone help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Disable the chip.
Press and hold the "start" button of controller, while clicking the "reset" button of ps2, then try to play your original game, i think this way the game will load.
The chip will be disabled until you turn the ps2 off.
