Here, it is quite simple.

Use this link and click on DVD Shrink:

I tried DVD Shrink and it gives me an invalid ifo message. I read before where you said you put in a folder named VIDEO_TS.IFO. I have not been able to get that to work for me. Maybe I am not putting it in the right spot! At any rate I sure dont want to use 2 disks because there are 17 originals and that would mean 34 dvd5s' (whew)! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Ya'll have been a wealth of information and I dont even know how to begin telling you how much I appreciate this forum! I know how to create a folder (VIDEO_TS) and insert the files and Record Now recognizes it and will create it! The only problem is DVD Shrink still doesnt recognize it as all the files are pdi files. DVD Shrink prompts to open an ifo file (DVD Navigation Files [*.ifo]). As this file does not exist anywhere it will not open. Even if the pdi files are in a folder named VIDEO_TS! Do I have you stumped yet!?? YOURS TRULY YOURS, DAVID

pdi files are from instant copy aren't they?

Never used the program at all.

Pretty sure dvdshrink will not recognise pdi files - obviously I maybe wrong.....

Try the alternate route:

Just get the original dvd, and run it through dvdshrink with the guide that Oriphus suggested.

This will rip/strip/compress/re-author from the disc - and therefore WILL recognise the ifo/bup/vob - you will be able to FULLY manipulate the dvd to what you require.

Once done point the process to your VIDEO_TS folder.

Then just burn the folder back using recordnowmax - again using the guide Oriphus suggested....

...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............
Beware of the Pixies - they move in over night and turn your life upside down
