I have the Panasonic DVD-RP62 dvd player. I can play vcd's just fine. However, no matter what I've tried it always plays back slow/choppy.

I've tried decreasing the bitrate from 2500 to 1600. Someone said in another thread changing the headers to mpeg-1 might work...tried that. I've tried burning at 4x. Anyone know anythign else I can try?

Btw...This is an divx/xvid file I encoded to mpeg-2 with tmpgenc and I used the wizard.

What standard did you encode to NTSC or PAL, this will make a difference in the playback of your encoded mpeg. your machine might not be compatible for both. there is a way to check though at this website
