It would've been a waste of money to put protection on it. I mean, how many people are gonna make backup copies of Weird Al?

I made a backup copy because it is one of those dual-sided discs. Don't want to make scratches to this masterpiece.

Its just not cost effective to put copy protection on some things. This Weird Al dvd is one of them, as is most porn movies.

Its not cost effective to put copy protect on anything as people just break it or dont buy it anywayz just to show their disagrement w/ copy protect...

I think Macrovision copy protection costs about $25K for a license. Poor AL would have to sell 2,000 DVDs just to break even - highly unlikely. ;) I've seen most music video and concert DVDs are without any copy protection - simply a drag and drop onto your hard drive.

Here's my 2 cents, Weird Al HATES copy protections and doesn't see the use of it, hence no protection on his cd's and dvd's.

There's copy-protection on his "Straight Outta Lynwood" CD!

What about my sig? It's not a graphic, so I shouldn't have to worry about it.

1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.

He probably doesn't really care, as would be suggested by the tone of "don't download this song" (track 12 on straight outta lynwood) I got the copy of the cd first, then I ordered it from amazon.com and it should be coming in the mail any day now. I support Al and own all his cd's. I have to say though White and Nerdy is primarily the best song on there the others are so-so. But it was worth the $13.99 i paid.

I cover my bases...
1)Xbox w/xecuter 2.6 solderless
2)Ps2 (slim) w/DMS4 Lite
3)Ps2 V7 w/DMS4 Lite and 200 Gig Maxtor HDD
4)GC w/qoob pro
