Help!

Am trying to set up video capture using VCR input through a co-ax cable into a TV/Video Capture card and use webcam snapshot software to take snapshots of the input and post onto a webpage. This arrangement works under Windows98SE but won't work under Windows2000 SP3.

The error message 'video device already in use' is displayed by the webcam software. This error is displayed on all the cards I've tried, from cheapo to top of range, and on all the webcam software I've tried. There are no applications running in the tray and no applications running under task manager and no other devices attached to card.

The suggestion is that the problem is due to a Windows driver or setting. Hardware and software manufacturers suggest there should be no problems with this setup.

Has anyone come across this problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
