I have been having a problem since a virus last attacked my computer. I had to reinstall a lot of programs, including norton Antivirus to get up and running again.

After all was said and done and cleaned out, I now place a DVD in my DVD reader and Windows sees it as a CD. It doesn't matter what name brand I put in there, the result is the same.

Can someone help me with this? has anyone heard of anything like this before?

I am running XP.

please help.....
