well pardon me. you can do MOST without a modchip. i mean, maybe not use a panel, but do you really need it?

So, installing any modchip will delete all content off of the xbox? i have many MP3's installed, I want to get live, and i have a lot of saved games. Do i have to back it up in order to save all of them? and can i go on live WITHOUT the softmod? Like uninstall it temporarily, or do i need a new xbox to go on live?

LOL. Nah man, I wasn't trying to come at you or anything...no need to be excused ;) I'm just saying a lot of people tend to misunderstand the differences is all. Did you tak a look at the link? The control panel isn't even the half of it. To me on of the biggest things is customizations...for example, nothing the xbox; I think softmods will allow you to change the xb logo screen but a chip (X3 CE) will allow you to change the Flubber Screen on boot. Colors, angles, wireframe or not, etc...It just seems like for every foot softmods go, chips move a yard. That's just my opinion of course...softmods are good in their own respect as well.

not to be a jerk or anything but...oooooie! u can change the angels and colors of the boot logo!? who gives a shit. common really, technicaly, most importand features a chip gives u, u can get with a softmod.

well sbaron, the mod chips are glamorous in their own ways. just like the softmods.
most of the things have been able to work around without a chip, but there are a few things that Xecuter does.
its like, we think weve just conquered and tore the XBOX to shreds, and then Team Xecuter pops out of the shadows and says "HAHA NEW MODS FOR YOUR XBOX!"

Hi, i'm kinda stupid here... never done this before and i'm researching my head off. is the action replay memory card big enough to hold the information downloaded if i'm planning to use splinter cell?
do i have to mod my xbox controller to a usb end to connect to my computer to get the information to my memory card? and where do i find the information to splice up the correct wires together?

I use a 8mb memorey card. You can buy AR or build a device similar...my link pobally doesn't work annymore...look on xbox scene, it shouldn't be hard to find.

Hey, i have 2 things to say. First of all I can't drag the two .zip file you need to AR. And second, I read in a different tutorial that that your EEPROM is a file on the linux dashboard not, on your computer. So how do I backup my EEPROM with a floppy. (I tried to mod a different xbox without backing up my EEPROM, and once I installed the Evox dashboard, everytime i started my xbox without a disc it gave me the message "service is required, call customer support). (I also could not connect to xbox live or acces the main menu, so i had to get a new xbox). If you can help me please reply! Thnx!

sup Ca$h, got everything transfered over... but when ltools load up, there are only two choices: mechassault and mechassault. Is this file corrupt? or do i not have the right files. i have both games mechassault and splintercell. can you point me to the right place to get those files. i got them from xbins, but they all seem to have the same result. my msn is xlee08 then the hotmail part dot com. thanks

Dude, When I tried to get to my EvolutionX dashboard, it said service needed, call customer support! What do I do? Note that I used Mechassault.
