ZIppyDSM: ?? It (GC forum room) hasn't been removed and wont be, as far as I know.. And I -- sorta -- should know :-)
Anyway, forum rooms seem to have calmed down slightly ever since I asked our dear mods to bring in the big guns and simply ban everybody who causes trouble. It seems to be that "shoot first, ask questions later" method is the only one working there.
The forum rooms with "- Games" in their name might be moved over to Blasteroids in near future, but only after we figure out a good way to cross-link between the two forums.

Ummm the GC GAME forum,the PS2 and Xbox them,or did the GC always only have 1 Forum when the others had 2-4?
No one goes to blastroids so its kinda pointless *L*
oh well I guess tieing it in is the thing *L*
you coud always have them like they are now they just GO to blastroids so pll can rant and rave about the games or all the systems and lave backup and genreal console discustions here it could work if more people go over to it *L*

Ye, GC always had just one. Its about figures -- PS2 and Xbox originally had one each, but as they grew, they had to be split. And split again. And split again. And again :-) Same has happened to several DVD forums on our site as well, DVDR used to be one forum room, now there's something like 7 rooms that have the same heritage.

why not just have blastroids handle the older stuff and game rants and raves,it would appaer to be a link to a forum here but go over to blastroids ,sicne the sites are linked and use the same longon treat it as one big ass forum no fuss no muss PS2,Xbox,GC,might can put the Xbox,PS2 and GC general disscustions there as well one the other 2 new systems come 0ut ^^

ZIppyDSM i really think you have good idea there.
It's would be like an extention site for game threads.
The problem is it would probably ruin Blasteroids. It would get choked with the same mess that has plagued the console forum in the past.

thats the point and its a sister site and well....any game forum will get the BS bastards so mabye soem mods can do double duty there or what not least until they can handle the load ^^
thus bringing AD up to a more mmmmm information site and not ranting and BS and such....at elast the hardware fanboys dont drool and poop in thier pants 0-o

Ok here's a good example of how it's done.
Some of the news items have the links are on AD and you get transfered to Blast.
I really like how that's set up. One account Multiple sites. :D.
On thinking deeper I have realised that moving the same troublemakers all in one place could only make that place BAD and would fail to solve the fundamental problem.

this is what i would do,i feel there is no need to remove the Consoles boards..it can be controlled.
What is in fact needed in each board in the Consoles boards is actually a pix on top of each board
with a warning In big red letters of what can be posted and discussed and the rules.

I think with that kinda pic either 2 things will happen with the newbie's in the console rooms.
1. They would get "Happy" ;) and will forget all about what they were going to say. Hence it stops the crapp.
or
2. They will loose their minds and write more crapp that doesn't make any sense :)

well I think letting the Game forums police themselfs is good at least thats where the fires will start and burn out rarely spreading to other threads,in all best way to do it jsut have all NON mod/hardware/backup disscusions on blastroids and have the current forums done like this
Video games/consoles/handheld
Genreal backup and mod forum (PS2,GBA,DS,PSP,DC,ect,ect)
Wii hardware
Wii backup
PS3 hardware
PS3 backup
360 hardware
360 backup
PS2 hardware/backup
GC hardware/backup
Xbox hardware/backup
while blastroids would get the "games" forums.

I'd assume ALL console stuff moves to Blasteroids. The Admins still get traffic/money out of it, and the main AD site remains completely unaffected by all that stuff. Just my assumption but that's how i hope it turns out :P

no no now I agree with you more or less but
AD is founed on "backing up of for your protection" so you dont get screwed by the man,Moding systems is a part of this so in that sence thos should remain,whineing about games and whitch is better is a whole other thing that should be under blastroids.
But you know inorder to keep the site splite into the correct formats blastroids could pick up the Modding torch :3

they won't be got rid of, hopefully just moved sideways to a.n.other place. some of you want to keep these forums here as you like using them, but it shouldn't matter where they are as long as you can use them; however i am all for them being moved away from AD's more grown-up forums as it'd be better for the main site, not because i want to use non-console forums. That's a big difference i think..ie i don't want that for my own benefit but for the site as a whole.
